General description

Bromodichloroacetic acid belongs to the class of haloacetic acids (HAAs) which are organic disinfection byproducts produced in chlorinated water. They are common contaminants observed in drinking water.
Sigma-Aldrich offers bromodichloroacetic acid for a variety of applications that include, but are not limited to, environmental, food and beverage, forensics, petrochemical and pharmaceutical analysis.

Application

Bromodichloroacetic acid may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in environmental samples by various chromatographic samples.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
