4-Bromofluorobenzene solution has been used as an internal standard in the determination of the carcinogen, 1,4-dioxane in household detergents and cleaners using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry method (GC-MS). It has also been used as an internal standard in the estimation of pollutants in environmental samples using pervaporation technique and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
