Picolinafen is a post-emergence cereal herbicide used to control broad-leaved weeds in some cereals such as winter wheat, winter barley, winter rye and triticale. As of Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009 picolinafen is approved for use as plant protection product in the European Union (EU). Maximum residue levels (MRLs) for picolinafen for various products of plant and animal origin have been set according to Reg. (EU) 2019/1791 in the range from 0.01 to 0.05 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
