Application

Azamethiphos is an organophosphate used as an insecticide and as an antiparasitic agent for veterinary use. It is highly soluble in water, volatile and not expected to leach to groundwater. Azamethiphos is not approved for use in the European Union as a plant protection product. A default maximum residue level (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg has been set according to Art 18(1)(b) Reg 396/2005. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
