Progesterone USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:
  • Progesterone Compounded Vaginal Inserts
  • Progesterone Injection
  • Progesterone Intrauterine Contraceptive System

Biochem/physiol Actions

Induces maturation and secretory activity of the uterine endothelium; suppresses ovulation.
