Application

Sorbitol USP reference standard suitable for use in specified USP compendial tests and assays.

It can be utilized to prepare standard and system suitability solutions for assay, with the help of Liquid chromatography in conjunction with a Refractive index detector according to following United States Pharmacopeia (USP) monographs:
  • Sorbitol Solution
  • Sorbitol
  • Noncrystallizing Sorbitol Solution
  • Sorbitol Sorbitan Solution
Additionally, it can be used to prepare a standard solution to determine other polyols impurity in Xylitol by Liquid chromatography combined with a UV detector at 192nm according to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) monograph
