HandyStep^® Troubleshooting: Error 001

This page describes how to clear errors from HandyStep^® electronic Repeating Pipette. While error occurs on HandyStep^® screen, push Enter key and screen will assist you in clearing the error. Error 001 indicates an issue with the locking lever of the instrument usually indicatingthat locking lever was lifted prior to the piston being lower most position. To clear this error push the enter key and the screen will show letters CLO indicating the locking lever should be closed down in the close position. After closing locking lever, rEF will appear on the screen, push STEP key to perform rEF run, the piston will goto the lowest possible possible ejecting all residual liquid and thenmake a reference movement to identify the tip size.
