Ordering and Pricing FAQs

MISSION^® shRNA products are made on demand and do not have product numbers like our other products. The clone library currently consists of more than 200,000 different constructs. The online order process ensures that the information for each requested clone gets fed into our production system correctly.

Each order is produced on demand in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The following times are required to produce each format after the order appears in our LIMS manufacturing database:

 SHCLNG – Bacterial Stock 48 hours

 SHCLND – Purified DNA 3 weeks

 SHCLNV – Lentiviral Transduction Particles 4 weeks

Orders ship Monday through Thursday. Glycerol format orders received after 10 am CDT/CST on Wednesday may not ship until the following Monday. Some orders may require additional time to process. Please allow up to 2 weeks additional shipping time for international orders.

If your order includes customization of volume, titer, or vector, the turn-around-time will be longer than listed above.

Additionally, if your order contains >25 individual clones with vector customization, or >50 individual clones in the standard vector, the turn-around-time will be longer than listed here. We recommend contacting your local sales representative for pricing and timelines for larger orders.

MISSION^® shRNA products are only created once an order is verified. Once your order has been processed it cannot be canceled.

The Gene family sets, LentiPlex^™, and the Controls can be ordered either over the phone or online, but feel free to contact your local sales representative or email us at MISSIONRNAi@sial.com with any questions.

Individual clones may be purchased in any of the three available formats: bacterial stock, purified DNA, and Lentiviral transduction particles. Discounts apply when buying multiple clones for a single RefSeq. Log in and visit the ordering page for your RefSeq of interest to see the minimum purchase requirements for discounting.

High titer virus can easily be requested online by selecting the appropriate clone or clones for the RefSeq on the MISSION^® TRC Lentivirus ordering page and selecting the titer that is desired using the pulldown menu at the top of the clone listing on the Lentivirus page for your RefSeq of interest. Other modifications to Lentiviral orders are also available (custom volumes and custom vector backbones). If you do not see what you are looking for, contact your local sales representative.

We are continually validating, and updating the TRC library we provide. In that vein, we often prioritize the most efficacious shRNAs to the top of our shRNA offering. It's important to keep track of which TRCNs you've used in the past. The clones are all still there, and are visible on our website.
