4-二甲氨基苯甲醛的用途：
  • 用于缩合反应合成偶氮-甲亚胺染料。
  • 作为试剂与4-硝基苯酚反应合成分子加合物4DMAB4NP（4-二甲氨基苯甲醛4-硝基苯酚）。
  • 席夫碱制备。
与吡咯和伯胺反应生成有色缩合产物(席夫碱)。
