一般描述
聚乙二醇(PEG)是一种亲水性的聚合物。它可以通过环氧乙烷的阴离子开环聚合而被轻易的合成为不同的分子量和并带有各种端基。当交联成网络时,PEG可具有高的含水量,形成“水凝胶”。水凝胶的形成可通过电离辐射交联PEG或通过PEG大分子单体与反应性链端的共价交联而引发。PEG引其不会触发免疫反应而成为一种适合于生物学应用的材料。
