    Per the chemicals encyclopedia published by the Royal Society of Chemistry this product is slow to dissolve in water and may require heat at 40°C and stirring. We have tested the solubility at 33 mg/mL water.

    Product No. S9640, Sodium tetraborate decahydrate, is soluble in water at 62 mg/mL or 160 mM. If you use hot water you can get a 4.4 M solution.
