Application
三溴化磷可用作如下反应的试剂：

General description
三溴化磷(PBr3)通常用于Hell-Volhard-Zelinsky卤化，以对羧酸进行α-溴化，从而形成相应的酰基溴。它也可用于将伯醇和仲醇转化为烷基溴。
