棕榈酸（C16:0）是一种饱和脂肪酸，常见于各种天然来源，如动物脂肪和植物油。
Application
通过在四氯化碳中与二环己基碳二亚胺（DCC）反应，棕榈酸可用于制备棕榈酸酐。 它在300°C和17bar 氩气（5％H2）压力下，在4％ wt Pd/C介孔催化剂存在下可发生脱氧反应。主要产物为脂肪链长的碳氢化合物，其碳含量比相应的酸少一个碳。
