General description
Carbostyril 124 (CS124) is a chromophore that can be used as a laser dye for sensitization and optical detection. It acts as an antenna molecule that facilitates the light absorption and enhances fluorescence efficiency.
Application
CS124 can be used in the synthesis of luminescent terbium chelates (LTCs) to develop fluoroimmunoassay for the detection of carcinoembryonic antigen. It can also be used in the development of borane lasers.
