应用

聚亚乙胺溶液可用于阳离子交换树脂的表面改性。改性树脂可提高过渡元素的选择性。由于阳离子层内的排斥效应，对碱性离子的选择性会有所降低。结果表明，这种树脂可通过柱吸附用于工业业废水的净化。

它可作为前体，制备聚电解质多层膜，以促进细胞在植入物表面的附着和生长。

PEI可在水介质中制备金属纳米粒子时用作反应性模板和稳定剂。PEI中的氨基团可以与溶解于水的金属离子配位，并降低其聚集能力。这会导致形成更小的纳米粒子。
