Application

聚丙烯酸钠盐溶液已用于研究在Fe(lll)存在下，聚丙烯酸(PAA)超分子聚集体的形成机制。这种超分子作用捕获所有三价铁，抑制Fe(OH)3沉淀的形成。聚丙烯酸的螯合性可用于抑制氧化铁等铁氧化物的沉淀。

聚丙烯酸可用作正向渗透的驱动溶质，因其具有结构柔性和高水溶性。相比传统离子盐类更加优越，因其具有相当的水通量，但反向渗漏更少。
