General description

NORIT®RX 3 EXTRA is an acid washed, steam activated carbon that exhibits high pore volume. Activated carbons are internally porous microcrystalline, non-graphitic forms of carbon. The activated carbons possess large surface area (~1000 m2/g) and pore volumes which make them useful for applications in energy storage devices, catalysis, and for removal ofimpurities from gases and liquids.

Application

Because of its excellent purity along with good abrasion resistance NORIT® RX3 EXTRA is suitable as a catalyst or catalyst carrier for high purity gas phase applications. It offers advantages of high catalytic activity, high hardness and durability, and low pressure drop.
