Poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(butylene oxide) is an amphiphilic block copolymer that shows good biocompatibility. This type of polymers can self-assemble into micelles of various shapes at low concentration. It has been used as nanocarriers to solubilize and delivery hydrophobic drugs.
