The single molecular weight dPEG® spacer arm between the terminal amine and the terminal carboxylic acid is of exact length (89.0 Å), allowing for precise spatial control, and they are hydrophilic and non-immunogenic, imparting greater water solubility and hydrodynamic volume to target molecules.
