General description

心磷脂位于线粒体内膜，含有18个碳原子，由“甘油桥”连接的3-磷脂酰基团组成。心磷脂是ATP合成酶的重要组分。
心磷脂是包含四个酰基链和一个小分子头基的阴离子磷脂。

Application

14:1心磷脂可用作液相色谱-串联质谱（LC-MS-MS）中的参考标准品。它也可通过质谱分析来测定线粒体磷脂和酵母呼吸链复合物。

Biochem/physiol Actions

TMCL（1,1′,2,2′-四肉豆蔻酰基心磷脂）双层可用于产生多室脂质体。心磷脂代谢通路缺陷与Barth综合征患者相关。具有1,2-二油酰基-sn-甘油-3-磷酸胆碱(DOPC)和胆固醇的TMCL脂质体是潜在的药物递送系统。TMCL显示温度相关的热致相变。
心磷脂和细胞色素c的相互作用决定了参与氧化磷酸化和细胞凋亡的蛋白质的功能。参与质子摄取途径（proton uptake pathway）的心磷脂维持参与该过程的酶的结构。心磷脂控制线粒体功能和膜电位。它为线粒体内膜及其中的蛋白质提供结构支持。心磷脂浓度和组成的改变与病理状况有关，包括缺血、甲状腺功能减退、衰老、心力衰竭和心骨骼肌病。
