18:1 Phosphatidylmethanol (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphomethanol) is a phospholipid which carries an anionic head group. It is categorized as an alkyl phosphate under lipd headgroup modified lipids.

Application

18:1 Phosphatidylmethanol (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphomethanol) may be used in unilamellar vesicles for fluorescence quenching vesicle binding assay and as an internal standard in ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) analysis for the quantification of phosphatidylethanols (PEths) in whole blood, venous/capillary-dried blood spots (V-DBS and C-DBS).
