General description
Compound 2a is a selective antagonist for human S1P1 (hS1P1) receptor activation by the physiological agonist S1P.
W146 is a sphingosine-1-phosphate 1 (S1P1) selective antagonist.
Application
W146 has been used:
- to verify the mode of action of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) in human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs ) and primary human hepatogenic profibrotic cells (hHPCs)
- to study oxidative stress and drug treatment in granulosa cells
- to evaluate its effects on transendothelial electrical resistance (TEER)
Biochem/physiol Actions
W146 acts as an orthosteric antagonist. It is linked to blood lymphopenia and lung edema in mice.
