Biochem/physiol Actions
C18-02:0 PC acts as a platelet-activating factor and facilitates platelet aggregation and secretion. It also plays a key role in inflammation and anaphylaxis.
General description
C18-02:0 PC, also referred as 1-O-octadecyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a natural platelet-activating factor. It is found in variety of cells including, basophil leucocytes, macrophages, polymorphonuclear neutrophils and monocytes and platelets.
