General description
DSPE PEG(3400) COOH has numerous applications in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery. The hydrophobic properties of DSPE enhance the encapsulation and collection of other hydrophobic drugs. When an activator such as EDC or HATU is present, the -COOH group can easily react with primary amines to form a stable amide bond. By altering the length of the PEG, it is possible to modify the micelle size, immunological safety, and drug release rate.
