General description
U-48800 is a highly potent opioid agonist, not structurally related to fentanyl, that has been confirmed in opioid overdoses and deaths. Novel synthetic opioids (NSOs) created to circumvent drug control laws such as U-48800 have no recognized therapeutic use, are clandestinely manufactured and sold on conventional or dark web. This Certified Spiking Solution® is applicable for use in urine drug testing, clinical toxicology, or forensic analysis applications by LC-MS/MS or GC/MS.
This Cerilliant product is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Opioid CRM Kit including more than 40 CRMs to be used as part of CDC′s laboratory response to the opioid epidemic. The kits are provided free of charge to drug testing laboratories located in the United States.
