General description

Interleukin-5 (IL-5) is a cytokine primarily produced by activated T cells, particularly Th2 cells, and plays a pivotal role in the regulation of eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival. Other Notes

Although IL-5 was detectable in non-human primate, canine, rat, and mouse plasma, the assay has not been verified for these species.
