General description

TBC1D1是包含180-220个氨基酸的tbc盒基序的蛋白质家族的第一个成员,可能与细胞生长和分化有关。TBC1D1的组成具有与已知的胰岛素介导的Glut4易位调节剂相同的功能,并且可能在严重的人类肥胖中起作用。运动后数小时,胰岛素依赖性葡萄糖转运增加归因于TBC1D1磷酸化。TBC1D1的R125W突变被认为会减少骨骼肌葡萄糖的转运,并且可能是肥胖的主要原因,而肥胖似乎与这种类型的突变有关。
