General description
Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) Halal is a high-quality dehydrated culture medium formulated with potato infusion and dextrose (glucose) as key nutritive components. The carbohydrate dextrose (glucose) provides carbon and energy for fungal growth, while potato infusion supplies starch, amino acids, organic acids, and other essential growth factors. Agar serves as the gelling agent for solidification of the medium. The addition of chloramphenicol inhibits the growth of other accompanying bacterial flora.
