Biochem/physiol Actions
胃蛋白酶是胃液的成分，与蛋白质消化有关。它是一种肽链内切酶，可以催化蛋白质降解形成被小肠吸收的肽和氨基酸。胃蛋白酶是由胃粘膜的主要细胞以酶原（胃蛋白酶原）的形式释放。它由胃液中的盐酸（HC）产生的酸性环境激活。在胃中，胃蛋白酶在1.5至2的pH下有活性。它参与食物团向食糜的转化。它与以慢性咳嗽、轻度吞咽困难、声音嘶哑和清喉为特征的咽喉反流（LPR）有关。
