General description

Strontium carbonate is a precursor material used in the manufacture of colorants in fireworks, special glasses, computer monitors, paints, glass cathode-ray tubes, medicine, and photocatalysts.

Application

Strontium carbonate can be used to prepare:

(1-x)(Bi_0.5Na_0.5)TiO_3-xSrTiO₃-ceramics exhibiting piezoelectric properties.
Samarium and sodium-doped SrBi₄Ti₄O₁₅ piezoelectric ceramics.
Sodium and praseodymium substituted Sr_0.2Na_0.4Pr_0.4Bi₄Ti₄O₁₅ piezoelectric ceramic for high-temperature sensor applications.
