该方法类似于APHA 4500-SiO2 D+E、ASTM D859-10和DIN 38405-21。

该 Spectroquant ®硅酸盐测试可对水性样品中的硅酸盐（硅酸）准确测定。

方法原理：在硫酸溶液中，硅酸盐离子与钼酸根离子反应形成黄色的杂多酸，该杂多酸被还原为硅钼蓝。该染料可由光度法测定。
