General description
This refill pack contains all the reagents for the MQuant® test kits 1.14846 and 1.18394 for the colorimetric evaluation of phosphate. When the reagents of the MQuant® test are used up, the kit can be replenished by ordering the appropriate refill pack. Refill packs are available for a range of MQuant® test kits, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
Method
In sulfuric solution orthophosphate ions react with molybdate ions to form molybdophosphoric acid. Ascorbic acid reduces this to phosphomolybdenum blue (PMB). The phosphate concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual colorimetric evaluation.
