General description

β-淀粉样肽（Aβ）是阿尔茨海默′病大脑老年斑和弥漫性沉积物中的主要成分。在适当的条件下，可溶性淀粉样蛋白肽聚集到与疾病状态相关的原纤维中。有人提出，Aβ肽可以通过下调关键的抗凋亡蛋白bcl-2的表达和上调已知诱导细胞死亡的蛋白bax的表达来增加神经元对氧化损伤的敏感性。

在阿尔茨海默’病和唐氏’综合征患者脑内发现的主要肽。促进神经元中Bcl-2的下调和Bax表达的上调。
