General description
天然人C5补体成分。糖蛋白由两个二硫键连接的不同亚基组成，M.W.分别为120,000（α）和75,000（β）。存在于人血清中，浓度为70 µg/mL。通过经典途径或替代途径激活补体可导致靶表面上C5裂解酶（C5转化酶）的组装。两种C5转化酶均在肽键74处裂解C5α-链导致产生C5a（M.W.11,200）和C5b片段（M.W.185,000）。释放的C5a肽是三种补体衍生的过敏毒素之一。C5b片段与C6、C7、C8和C9结合形成裂解型C5b-9补体膜攻击复合物（MAC）。
