Caspase-9, Human, Recombinant, E. coli

Recombinant, human caspase-9 fused at the N- and C- termini to a His•Tag sequence and expressed in E. coli as a single polypeptide. Subsequently undergoes spontaneous autoprocessing to yield the active enzyme. MW: 11000 and 20000.

Lyophilized from 130 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris, 4 mM (NH₄)₂SO₄

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-70°C). Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of solutions. Stock solutions are stable for up to 4 months at -20°C.

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will cleave 1.0 nmol substrate Ac-LEHD-pNA (Cat. No. 218805) per h at 37°C, pH 7.2.
