General description

A specific chromogenic substrate for human neutrophil elastase (K_cat/K_m = 120,000 vs. 2700 for pancreatic elastase). Cleavage can be monitored at ~410 nm. Sold on the basis of substrate content.

Specific chromogenic substrate for human neutrophil elastase (k_cat/K_m = 120,000 versus pancreatic elastase: k_cat/K_m = 2,700). Cleavage can be monitored at 410 nm using ε = 8,800.
