FOCUS-Protease Arrest Cocktail

A protease cocktail specifically developed for 2D gel sample preparation.

A protease inhibitor cocktail specifically developed for the inhibition of protease activity during protein purification and sample processing. Suitable for use with yeast, bacterial, plants, and mammalian tissues. No EDTA is used in this preparation. Compatible with FOCUS-Nuclease for removing nucleic acid contamination from samples. FOCUS-Protease-Arrest contains agents that inhibit serine, cysteine, metallo-proteases as well as calpains. FOCUS-Protease-Arrest contains both irreversible and reversible protease inhibitors. FOCUS-Protease Arrest, used at 1:50 dilution in extraction buffer (pH 7-8) inhibits over 95-98% of protease activities.

Following dilution in extraction/lysis buffer or extract, the FOCUS-Protease Arrest inhibitors are stable for up to 2 weeks at 4°C or up to 4 months at -20°C.
