General description
细胞可渗透的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)模拟物。即使在存在过量EDTA的情况下,也能催化O2– •的歧化(速率常数约为4 x 107 M-1 s-1)。可以替代缺乏这种酶的大肠埃希菌突变体中的SOD。MnTMPyP在体内充当NADPH/GSH:O2•氧化还原酶,而不是SOD模拟物。当氧化还原剂与生物抗氧化剂偶联时,也是一种有效的过氧亚硝酸盐还原酶。
