Protein S, Human Plasma

Native protein S from human plasma. Single-chain glycoprotein that functions as a cofactor for anticoagulant activity of activated protein C.

Lyophilized from 100 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM benzamidine, pH 7.4.

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
