破伤风类毒素对破伤风梭菌起作用,破伤风梭菌是一种革兰氏阳性杆菌,能产生一种叫做破伤风痉挛蛋白的神经毒素。破伤风痉挛素阻止一种抑制性神经递质的释放,引起非对抗性肌肉收缩和痉挛。破伤风类毒素疫苗刺激免疫系统对疫苗抗原作出反应。免疫系统t淋巴细胞(TH2和B细胞)分泌免疫球蛋白对抗疫苗中的抗原。这种免疫球蛋白有助于预防未来的感染。
