General description
Benzonase® 核酸酶是一种用基因工程方法从粘质沙雷氏菌获得的核酸内切酶。它降解所有形式的DNA和RNA（单链、双链、线性和环状），而没有蛋白水解活性。它能够在较大范围的条件下工作，并且具有极高的比活度。该酶可将核酸完全消化为长度为2至5个碱基（低于杂交极限）的 5′-单磷酸末端寡核苷酸，特别适合于重组蛋白中核酸的去除，从而满足FDA有关核酸污染的指导原则。Benzonase可以快速水解核酸的能力使其特别适用于降低粘度，以减少加工时间，提高蛋白质产量。例如，该酶与BugBuster和PopCulture蛋白质提取试剂兼容，因此可以与这些试剂一起添加，以消除大肠杆菌提取物中的粘度并去除核酸。
