Anti-Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor Type 2 Antibody, intracellular, CT

Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor type 2 (MCH-R2) is a G-protein coupled receptor with seven transmembrane domains. MCH-R2 is 340 amino acids in length (approximately 39 kDa) and shares approximately 38% amino acid identity with MCH-R1. Like MCH-R1, it binds MCH with high affinity. However, reports indicate that signaling through this receptor is pertussis insensitive, contrary to MCH-R1. Expression of MCH-R2 mRNA is restricted to several regions of the brain, including the arcuate nucleus and the ventral medial hypothalamous (Sailer, 2001).

Epitope: intracellular, C-terminus

Synthetic 16 amino acid peptide corresponding to the intracellular carboxy-terminus of human MHC-R2.

Immunohistochemistry: 1 μg/mL on brain cryostat sections. The antibody stains extensively through the brain and is particularly striking in the ganglionic layer of the cerebellum.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

This Anti-Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor Type 2 Antibody, intracellular, C-terminus is validated for use in IH for the detection of Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor Type 2.

Human Melanin Concentrating Hormone Receptor Type 2 (MCH-R2). The antibody has been used to stain tissues from rat and mouse as well as human.

Affinity purified immunoglobulin in PBS, pH 7.2 containing 0.1% sodium azide.

Maintain frozen at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months after date of receipt. The antibody can also be diluted 1:1 with glycerol (ACS grade or better) for added stability. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
