Application

This Anti-phospho-Munc-18 (Ser515) Antibody is validated for use in WB for the detection of phospho-Munc-18 (Ser515).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Munc-18, phospho Serine 515. The antibody recognizes a protein of ~65 kDa corresponding to Munc-18, phospho Serine 515 in lysates from rat cortex. Immunolabeling is blocked by the phosphopeptide used as the immunogen but not the corresponding non-phosphopeptide.
The immunogen has 100% homology with human, mouse, non-human primates, bovine, canine, chicken and Xenopus.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide corresponds to sequence surrounding the phosphoserine 515 site of rat Munc-18.

Rapid eye movement sleep (REMS) favors brain development and memory, while it is decreased in neurodegenerative diseases. REMS deprivation (REMSD) affects several physiological processes including memory consolidation; however, its detailed mechanism(s) of action was unknown. REMS reduces, while REMSD elevates
