General description
作为锌指蛋白ZFP36/tristetraprolin(TTP)家族的成员,ZFP36L1充当RNA结合蛋白(RBP),已知其与mRNA的3’个非翻译区中富含AU的元件相互作用,从而导致其降解。它作为角质形成细胞衍生的生长因子和细胞因子的靶标。据报告,ZFP36L1在各种生理过程中起重要作用,包括伤口愈合,表皮稳态,炎症,红系分化,胸腺细胞发育以及防止恶性转化。ZFPP36L1基因的缺陷与多发性硬化和癌症有关。
