General description
RAB27B，也称C25KG，是Rab GTP酶亚家族一员。RAB27B可作为异戊二烯化的脂质锚定蛋白（anchoring protein），在细胞内囊泡融合和蛋白质运输中起作用。该蛋白大多在睾丸中高度表达，但是也可在其它类型细胞中表达。由于Rab27B与RAB27B一起在各种组织中广泛表达，研究发现RAB27B能够结合所有测试过的Rab27A 效应因子。Rab27A和 Rab27B最初被认为通过享有共同的Rab27 效应因子，发挥冗余的功能。但是，最近的证据表明，通过与不同的Rab27效应因子相互作用，Rab27A和 Rab27B在特定类型的分泌（如外来体分泌和肥大细胞分泌）中起不同的作用，即使在相同类型的细胞中也是如此。Rab27B 对于蛋白质分泌（如胰腺腺泡细胞分泌）的调节特别重要。
观测值〜27 kDa。某些裂解液可能会出现未表征的条带。
