General description
潜在转化生长因子β结合蛋白1（LTBP-1）也称为转化生长因子β-1结合蛋白1（TGF-β1-BP1）。来自血小板的TGFB1的大型潜在复合物由与TGFB1前体N末端前肽和LTBP1的二聚体的二硫键复合物非共价结合的TGFB1分子组成。LTBP1不会直接与活性TGFB1结合，而只会与形式结合。LTBP1似乎参与了TGFB1向其储存或激活位点的分泌，并且对于控制TGFB1的作用至关重要。LTBP1还可能在细胞外基质构建和钙结合介导的围绕TGFB1激活的信号通路的信号传导中起作用。此外，由于其在TGFB1代谢中的关键作用，LTBP1在许多发育过程（包括胚胎植入和生长）中都起着重要作用。LTBP1还是至少两个不同的乳腺癌转移特征的参与者，并且具有长亚型和短亚型，可在包括乳腺发育在内的许多组织发育过程中建立和维持TGFbeta生物利用度的空间限制。
