Anti-Kinesin-like protein KIFC3 Antibody

Kinesin-like protein (KIFC3) is a member of the kinesin superfamily. It is a ubiquitous protein, with relatively high levels of expression in the kidney, testis, adrenal glands, and ovary. It is a minus-end motor protein that uses energy derived from ATP hydrolysis to drive the transport of protein cargo along microtubules. Kinesins play important roles in mediating many cellular processes, such as cell division, protein trafficking, and organelle transport.

~113 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight is 93 kDa, however Kinesin-like protein KIFC3 has been shown as a ~113 kDa band in western blots (Noda, Y., et al. (2001). J Cell Biol. 155(1):77-88.). An uncharacterized band may appear at ~16 kDa in some lysates.
