General description
Visual arrestin is a 48 kDa protein expressed exclusively in retinal photoreceptor cells where it regulates light-dependent signal transduction through G protein-coupled receptor (rhodopsin) activation. Visual arrestin is the major pathogenetic autoantigen in human autoimmume imflammatory eye disease.

Preparation Note
Maintain -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months after date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
