General description
Glucocorticoid-induced TNFR-related protein (hGITR) is also called Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18), Activation-inducible TNFR family receptor (AITR) and CD357. hGITR is a receptor for TNFSF18 and is activated by NF-kappa-B through the TRAF2/NIK pathway. hGITR is thought to be involved in activated T-lymphocyte and endothelial cell interactions, as well as regulation of T-cell receptor-mediated cell death. hGITR is expressed in lymph node, peripheral blood leukocytes and at low levels in the spleen.
~ 26 kDa observed. Multiple bands can be observed due to GITR being a monomer & homeodimer in some lysates. Uncharacterized band(s) may appear in some lysates.
