Anti-TSH Receptor Antibody, clone CS-17

Thyrotropin receptor (UniProt: P16473; also known as Thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor, TSH-R) is encoded by the TSHR (also known as LGR3) gene (Gene ID: 7253) in human. TSH-R is a multi-pass membrane protein of the G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family that is synthesized with a signal peptide (aa 1-20), which is subsequently cleaved off to generate the mature form that contains four extracellular domains, seven transmembrane domains, and four cytoplasmic domains. The extracellular domain is linked to a distal signal-specific domain the hinge region that is attached to a transmembrane domain consisting of extracellular and intracellular loops. It serves as a receptor the thyroid-stimulating hormone and TSH binding to this receptor induces thyrocyte growth and proliferation primarily by activating the adenylate cyclase signaling pathway. Clone CS-17 acts allosterically and serves as an inverse agonist for TSH-R constitutive activity. Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Flow Cytometry in TSH-R transfected HEK293 cells.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: 1 μg of this antibody detected TSH Receptor in one million TSH-R transfected HEK293 cells.

Clone CS-17 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that detects human Thyrotropin receptor. It targets an epitope within the first extracellular domain from the N-terminal region.

Store at -10°C to -25°C. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
